   Designed for families who appreciate privacy and enjoy the pleasures of fishing, hiking, and skiing in Vermont, this diminutive cape is an ideal getaway.

   A modified half-cape style post and beam house, it was built in 1989 entirely by hand by a noted craftsman.

   Thee French doors bring light into the inviting living and dining area.  

   Warmed by a propane heater and a Vermont Castings Reliant woodstove, electric radiant heat is also available on the first floor.

    The kitchen counter is made from birch heartwood.  The pine kitchen cabinets are all hand-built and the wide pine flooring on the main floor is tightly laid and plugged. 

   There are hand-built transom lights, with antique glass, over the two main doors. 

    Both bedrooms have cathedral ceilings. There is a full dry basement under the house, with a separate laundry and utility room.
